Sable: Second Chance To Live Dream
Sable: Well, at this point, we've had one meeting in the past four years.
(Laughs) I very much look forward to returning to the company and just starting
that relationship back up. I know it's going to take time for us all to learn
to trust one another again. But I just want them to know that I am totally
committed to making this work.
WWE.com: Did you ever expect when you left that you might wind up back here one
day?
Sable: You know, stranger things have happened. In this business, you learn to
never say never. I never did say never. I always hoped that there could be a
possibly for a return. And I just pursued other things while I was gone. I'm
just going to come back very grateful and make the most of this opportunity.
WWE.com: Some people are going to be very surprised that you're back because of
what happened in the past.
Sable: Well, if they think they're surprised, they have no idea how I feel!
(Laughs)
WWE.com: Do you expect that this second run will be more pleasant than the
first?
Sable: I think that anytime you take any kind of extended period of time away
from anything, whatever it may be -- a relationship, a career -- I think you
have a newfound appreciation for it. I think sometimes when you're in the
moment, you don't appreciate it. When you have to step back and really see the
opportunity that you had, you learn to appreciate it more. This time, I'll
certainly live each day to the fullest and make the most of this opportunity.
WWE.com: There were rumors that you were difficult to work with the last time
you were here. Is that true?
Sable: If you asked me, I'd have to say no. I had many friends within the
business, and continue to have many friends. But I think that anytime there is
competition, and one person maybe excels quicker or to a different level than
other people, there will always be a sense of jealously or competitiveness. The
way I learned to deal with that was just basically to stay to myself. I didn't
want to fuel any rumors and I didn't want to say anything negative. So I found
the easiest thing to do was to be a loner. People can perceive that anyway they
choose, but I just learned by keeping my mouth shut and doing what I was
supposed to do, it was just easier to get along. I love having friends and I
love being part of a family atmosphere, but you can only do that if both sides
are willing.
WWE.com: Is that going to be your philosophy this time around? Or are things
going to be different?
Sable: My philosophy, as I said, is just to come back with a really positive
attitude. There are a lot of new people here. Maybe a lot of the people who
perceived me a certain way in the past are no longer here. And for whatever
reason, I just feel it will be different this time. I feel very welcome.
WWE.com: There were also rumors that you got a "big head" once you appeared in
Playboy. True?
Sable: Absolutely not. I've always been shy in a lot of ways, and I come from
very humble beginnings. I don't believe that was the case. Anytime there's any
kind of jealousy, people are going to say whatever they want to say. And maybe
me withdrawing from things that were said about me was not the best way to
handle it. But it was the way I found to handle it then.
